The albums’ staggering first single ‘4 Minutes To Save The World’ featuring Justin Timberlake also tops the single’s chart for a second week.

Incredibly this is the fourth time Madonna has had a single and album simultaneously at number 1. No other solo female artist has done the double more than once.

“Candy Shop” is Madonna`s favourite song on the “Hard Candy” album

“Hard Candy”, is Madonna`s last album launched tuesday in Romania.The albume contains 12 great songs and Madonna says that she danced during the recordings.

This is her 11th studio album and has songs in collaboration with Justin Timberlake, Timbaland and Pharell Williams.
The first song on the new album, “Candy Shop” balanced between the names Candy Shop and Candy Store until Pharrell proposed to be as it is right now.

Madonna believes Tom Cruise gets a "raw deal" for believing in Scientology.

The pop superstar - who is a follower of controversial religion Kabbalah, a mystical off-shoot of Judaism - says that tom cruise shouldn`t be judged because of his religion.

She told New York magazine: “I don’t care if people worship turtles or frogs! All I care about is whether they are good people - and Tom is a good person. He gets a raw deal, just like the orphans in Malawi get a raw deal. I think a lot of marginalised people get a raw deal.”

Madonna is set to soon be named the official adoptive parent of David Banda

Madonna is set to soon be named the official adoptive parent of David Banda the Malawian government recommended the High Court formally approve the process.
An official has deemed the singer a suitable mother, after visiting the London home Madonna shares with husband Guy Ritchie and children Lourdes and Rocco.

It was decided it would be “in the best interests” of David, two, to stay with the couple.

The ‘4 Minutes’ singer caused controversy when she brought then one-year-old David home from the African country in October 2006.

Critics claimed she had been given preferential treatment because of her star status despite Malawian laws which prevent non-citizens from adopting.

Madonna was bullied at school for being a "weirdo".

The ‘4 Minutes’ singer was shunned by her classmates because she chose to concentrate on her music rather than experiment with drugs like her peers.

She said: “In high school I wasn’t a hippie or a stoner, so I ended up being the weirdo. I was interested in classical ballet and music, so the kids were quite mean if you were different.

“I was one of those people that people were mean to. When that happened, instead of being a doormat, I decided to emphasise my differences. But if your joy is derived from what society thinks of you, you’re always going to be disappointed.” Read the rest of this entry »
