Beyonce Knowles has started work on her new album

The ‘Crazy in Love’ singer - who married rapper Jay-Z last month - is back in a New York studio to record new material with production duo Chris ‘Tricky’ Stewart and Kuk Harrell.

Tricky said: “She’s a professional. She loves what she does and works her butt off. Right now she’s basically doing three to four songs a day and that’s unheard of.”

Tricky - who has previously worked with Rihanna and Mariah Carey - also revealed Beyonce could team up with Jay-Z. He added to People magazine: “It’s always a possibility. They worked together before, so it may be just a matter of getting the right record.” Read the rest of this entry »

Beyonce Knowles will reportedly marry fiance Jay-Z tomorrow

The ‘Crazy In Love’ singer is planning to tie the knot with the rapper in New York City tomorrow afternoon. The pair - who have been dating for six years - are believed to have applied for a marriage license in New York on Tuesday (01.04.08).

They emerged from Scarsdale Village Hall holding hands and smiling after meeting with a clerk to obtain the documents. A source told People magazine: “It was just the two of them. They were very polite and smiling as they filled out the paperwork. They were holding hands for a while. They looked really happy.” Read the rest of this entry »

Jay-Z confirms Hove Festival

Hove Festival, Norway, returns for its second year from June 23rd to June 27th. Hove Festival is a relative newcomer to the European festival map, but is already competing respectably with the other two main Scandinavian festivals Hultsfred and Roskilde.
With over 15,000 visitors each day, Hove was already in its first year the biggest festival in Norway.

Last year’s debut could also boast a carbon neutral status –zero carbon emissions – and the festival takes its environmental responsibilities seriously, collaborating closely with environmental groups such as Bellona from the planning stages. Nature is a key word here, with its idyllic location on the beautiful island of Tromøya outside the city of Arendal on the scenic Norwegian south coast, previously more known for its many naturalist painters than for its allegiance to ‘the devil’s music’.
