The ‘Girlfriend’ singer is keen to branch out beyond the music industry and try her hand at running a celebrity publication, but insists she will only focus on optimistic stories.
She said: “I would make it completely positive. There’s so much negativity in the world right now. I’d pick up the big stories, but they’d have to be positive.”
This isn’t the first time Avril has expressed an interest in other careers. Last month, the singer unveiled her new clothing line - Abbey Dawn. The range, which includes hooded tops, jeans and T-shirts, will go on sale in the US in July.
The 23-year-old singer is also planning to release her own range of beauty products. Avril applied for a patent for the line which is set to include “fragrances and perfume, aftershave, bath soap, shower gel, bath crystals, body lotion, body cream, hand lotion and talc.”(Music-news.com)

Madonna is set to soon be named the official adoptive parent of David Banda the Malawian government recommended the High Court formally approve the process.
An official has deemed the singer a suitable mother, after visiting the London home Madonna shares with husband Guy Ritchie and children Lourdes and Rocco.
It was decided it would be “in the best interests” of David, two, to stay with the couple.
The ‘4 Minutes’ singer caused controversy when she brought then one-year-old David home from the African country in October 2006.
Critics claimed she had been given preferential treatment because of her star status despite Malawian laws which prevent non-citizens from adopting.

The rapper, real name Curtis Jackson, wants Shaniqua Tompkins and their son Marquise Jackson to leave the property in Long Island.
In February, a judge reduced Tompkins’ monthly support payments from $25,000 to $6,700 on the condition they would partly use the money in a bid to find a new place to live.
But 50 is now claiming Tompkins - who also lives with a daughter from another relationship - didn’t even attempt to look for a new residence, and is taking advantage of the situation as the house is still in his name and he continues to pay all the bills.

The 33-year-old star has attempting to fight the ageing process with Natralox cream, which contains ‘wonder ingredient’ Argireline, to smooth out any unwanted wrinkles on her face.
Argireline claims to relax muscles, while hyaluronic acid - found in injectable fillers - is believed to help plump out wrinkles. The cream also includes vitamins A and C, along with amino acids.
Daniel Maung, the UK distributor of Natralox, said: “The cream was sent to Victoria some months ago and we received a message from her people saying she loved it so we sent more.”
Victoria has also been following a new low carbohydrate diet to prevent her skin from sagging and to maintain the fitness levels she achieved during the recent Spice Girls tour.
The mother-of-three is eating plenty of fennel, which is often used in detoxes, and vegetables rich in phytonutrients - a nutrient which is believed to reduce the risk of cancer. She is also snacking on nuts and seeds to provide essential fatty acids and help her skin glow.
The source added to Britain’s Grazia magazine: “Victoria is the happiest she has been with her shape for a long time and is desperate to maintain what she calls her optimum weight now the tour is over.
“She has had a large guestroom converted into a dance studio and she likes to dance in high heels because of the definition it gave her legs.”(music-news.com)

The ‘Crazy In Love’ singer is planning to tie the knot with the rapper in New York City tomorrow afternoon. The pair - who have been dating for six years - are believed to have applied for a marriage license in New York on Tuesday (01.04.08).
They emerged from Scarsdale Village Hall holding hands and smiling after meeting with a clerk to obtain the documents. A source told People magazine: “It was just the two of them. The ‘4 Minutes’ singer was shunned by her classmates because she chose to concentrate on her music rather than experiment with drugs like her peers.
She said: “In high school I wasn’t a hippie or a stoner, so I ended up being the weirdo. I was interested in classical ballet and music, so the kids were quite mean if you were different.
“I was one of those people that people were mean to. When that happened, instead of being a doormat, I decided to emphasise my differences. But if your joy is derived from what society thinks of you, you’re always going to be disappointed.” Read the rest of this entry »

The show hits the UK on 11th June for 7 gigs culminating in 2 nights at the fantastic venue of Twickenham Stadium.
The Feeling are to join Bon Jovi at select shows including Glasgow, Manchester, Coventry and the 2nd Twickenham date.

The ‘Do It Well’ singer - who gave birth to twins Max and Emme with husband Marc Anthony on February 22 - gained almost 50lbs during her pregnancy and has been working out as much as possible to get her figure back.
A source told Britain’s Star magazine: “To motivate her, she’s splurged out on a $50,000 home gym for her New York mansion. She’s also consulted trainers, nutritionists and doctors, looking for the safest way to drop the weight in record time.”

The singer - who is dating Fall Out Boy rocker Pete Wentz - has teamed up with US store Wet Seal, which will sell the tops in conjunction with the release of her third album ‘Bittersweet World’.
She said: “I was inspired by so many fun, wonderful things as I was recording ‘Bittersweet World’ and it’s been great to carry through those inspirations into these new shirt designs. I hope my fans love this album and rock out in these shirts!”
Wet Seal is a young women’s clothing retailer which stocks moderately priced brand name and company-designed apparel and accessories.
Ashlee is following in the footsteps of her older sister Jessica, who
released her own fashion range in 2005.

The supermodel - who has been dating The Kills guitarist Jamie Hince since last August - is believed to have got engaged during the couple’s recent break in Amsterdam.
A beaming Kate reportedly emerged from a bar in the Dutch city and told fans: “I’m getting married!”
One onlooker added to Britain’s The Sun newspaper: “The pair were in a bar looking very loved-up. Kate was so excited it looked like she had just accepted his proposal there and then. She was very happy.
“She came out giggling and seemed a little bit drunk. Lots of fans were taking her picture on their mobile phones. She told them she was getting married and when one girl asked her when, she said, ‘Soon.’”
